Jr AI Engineer (Trainee)
As a Jr AI Engineer (Trainee), you’ll build, evaluate, and ship machine-learning/LLM features. You’ll work closely with AI engineers, product, and engineering to turn messy data and problem statements into working prototypes and production-ready components.
What you’ll do
- Build and ship AI features (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, classifiers) with guidance from senior engineers
- Prepare data (cleaning, labeling, simple pipelines) and run experiments
- Evaluate model quality (basic metrics, test sets, prompt/LLM evals) and document results
- Integrate models into apps via APIs
What we’re looking for
- Solid Python basics and good Git hygiene
- Strong knowledge of ML fundamentals (training vs. validation, overfitting, precision/recall, etc.)
- Strong communication, curiosity, and willingness to learn fast
- PyTorch or TensorFlow, LangChain, SQL, Docker, REST APIs
- LLM tooling experience (prompting, RAG, vector DBs)
